Perspektif Siswa SMA Negeri 3 Lubuk Basung terhadap Perjuangan Siti Manggopoh

Abstract

Lack of student attention to the struggles of heroes. Many students claim to love Indonesian history but don't know about the stories of the struggles of previous heroes. As the next generation of young people, students must know the story or history of the heroes' struggle for this nation. Moreover, if the hero comes from his village. This research aims to find out the views of students at SMA Negeri 3 Lubuk Basung about Siti Manggopoh's struggle and at the same time foster their memories of the story of her struggle. So that students at SMA Negeri 3 Lubuk Basung can remember Siti Manggopoh's struggle and emulate the values of Siti Manggopoh's struggle. This study uses a qualitative method. This qualitative method is research that is directed at providing symptoms, facts, or events systematically and accurately regarding the object to be studied. This research is field research (Field Research) by going directly into the field to collect the required data. Field research is essentially a method for finding specifics and realizations about Lubuk Basung State High School 3 Students' Perspectives on Siti Manggopoh's Struggle. The results of this research show that almost all students at SMA Negeri 3 Lubuk Basung know the hero Siti Manggopoh. Although not all of them know who Siti Manggopoh is and the story of her struggle. Siti Manggopoh is a heroine from Nagari Manggopoh who succeeded in opposing Dutch policies that ruled Nagari Manggopoh in 1908. Siti Manggopoh stepped up as a war leader and left a valuable story for future generations. Siti Manggopoh's courage was highly appreciated by the students of SMA Negeri 3 Lubuk Basung so they emulated her personality as a form of pride in her services.
