Implementation of Religious Moderation in Islamic Religious Education at Bustanul Makmur High School Genteng

Abstract

This study focus to describe the implementation of national commitment, nonviolence, tolerance and accommodating to local culture in Islamic religious education. The type of research applied in this study is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The subjects of this research are Islamic religious education teachers, students and principals. The selection of research subjects used purposive sampling. The type of data collected from primary and secondary research data sources. Data collection procedures used three techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis began with data condensation, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The implementation of religious moderation in Islamic religious education applied at Bustanul Makmur Junior High School is carried out through learning activities in the classroom and outside the classroom. Islamic religious education learning is carried out in two ways, namely first strengthening students' understanding and religious practices carried out in the classroom and outside the classroom by Islamic religious education teachers. Second, the implementation of religious moderation is carried out through educative study activities, educamp and homestay programs
