Islamic religious education has an important role in Indonesian society, where the majority of the population is Muslim. Indonesia has a strong culture and is rooted in Islamic religious values. This is reflected in many aspects of daily life, such as worship procedures, customs, and celebration of Islamic holidays. This is like what happened in Talangsari Jember, where the local community began to strengthen their understanding of religious teachings, such as worship, fasting, zakat and Hajj. This helps form a religious character and is obedient to religious obligations. The aim of this research is to explain the implementation of Islamic religious education in shaping community character in Talangsari Jember. This research was carried out with the aim of explaining the implementation of Islamic religious education in shaping community character in Talangsari Jember. The researcher used a qualitative approach because the researcher thought that this research would be easier to answer using qualitative research. The results of this research are that Islamic religious education is not only about understanding religious teachings, but also about how these teachings are applied in everyday life to form good character and high morality. Islamic religious education helps teach strong moral values, such as honesty, justice, compassion, patience and kindness. It helps individuals and society to understand the importance of ethical and moral behavior. This is like what the community in Talangsari Jember did, where they created a community character who cared and was ready to provide assistance to others. Society teaches that all individuals should be treated fairly. Islamic religious education promotes respect for individual rights and concern for social welfare. Additionally, Islamic religious education reminds individuals of their social obligations, such as giving zakat (charitable donations) to the needy. This helps build the character of a society that is responsible and full of empathy for the less fortunate.
