Makna “Mipit Amit Ngala Menta” Pada Panen Padi di Masyarakat Desa Kosambi, Subang, Jawa Barat

Abstract

This article aims to describe the results of research on the meaning of Mipit Amit Ngala Menta in the rice harvest as a source of forming social values in the people of Kosambi Village, Cipunagara District, Subang - West Java. The approach used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach with the method of literature review (literature review), and field studies through observation techniques, interviews, and documentation studies. The data processing technique used is data triangulation technique. The scope of research includes the understanding and values contained in the meaning of the word Mipit Amit Ngala Menta. The results of the study show that there are social values (ethics and gratitude) which are the main values in the meaning of Mipit Amit Ngala Menta, then there are other supporting values, including: religious values and love for the natural surroundings. The results for this research can be used as a source in the education of values in the educational environment, so that the quality of the character of students is increasingly qualified.
