KONSEP CINTA TANAH AIR PERSPEKTIF SAYYID AFFANDI MUHAMMAD DAN RELEVANSINYA TERHADAP PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER

Abstract

There are three challenges after Indonesian independence. First; establish a united and sovereign nation, Second; build the nation, Third; build character. Lately, many components of the nation, from subordinates to superiors, have lacked character in their actions. Lack of heroism, not prioritizing the interests of the nation, and not maintaining the integrity of the nation shows the fading attitude of love for the motherland. The aim of the research is to provide insight into love for the motherland from the perspective of Sayyid Affandi Muhammad to become a view of the Indonesian people as good citizens and to regenerate the spirit of love for the motherland among the people. As well as to find out the relevance of the concept of love for the motherland from Sayyid Affandi Muhammad's perspective on character education in Indonesia and for scientific literature. The research method uses library research (library research) using information data obtained from the library. Data collection uses documentation techniques with descriptive-analytical methods. The character education of loving the homeland as outlined by Sayyid Affandi Muhammad requires every citizen, especially students, to devote to the homeland as a form of love by studying diligently, because with quality educational capital, the hope of building a quality advanced and civilized nation can be realized by perfect. Sayyid Affandi Muhamad's concept of love for the motherland is very relevant to character education in Indonesia.
