Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of career decision self-efficacy (CDSE) in influencing career decision (CI) in high school students. Career decision self-efficacy and career indecision are thought to have an interactive relationship. Previous studies have proven that career decision self-efficacy is a strong predictor of career indecision (Taylor & Betz, 1983). This research was conducted by conducting a survey of 54 participants who were high school/equivalent students in Indonesia. This study used the Career Decision Difficulties Questionnaire (CDDQ) (α = 0.945) and Career Decision Self-Efficacy Short-Form (CDSE-SF) (α = 0.858). The results showed that career decision self-efficacy had an effect on career indecision in high school students (Sig. 0.007; R2=0.133).
