Abstract

Non-formal education supports formal education by providing learning opportunities outside the school system, including through pasraman. Rare Angon Non-Formal Pasraman in Batuagung Village, Jembrana District, is a Hindu religious educational institution that contributes to students' character development through the teachings of Catur Paramitha. However, some students still exhibit behaviors that indicate insufficient application of character values in daily life. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of character education, identify the character traits developed, and examine its implications through the teachings of Catur Paramitha at Rare Angon Pasraman. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subjects were students of Rare Angon Pasraman, while teachers and parents served as supporting informants. Data were collected through observation, interviews, literature review, and document analysis, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and data verification. The findings show that character education was implemented through habituation, role modeling, and advice. The implementation contributed positively to the development of students' religious, social, and personal character. It also had positive implications for students' behavior in the pasraman, family, school, and community. Overall, the teachings of Catur Paramitha effectively strengthened students' character and fostered responsibility in their daily lives.
