Kontribusi Kepemimpinan Bupati Perempuan Terhadap Kesetaraan Gender Dalam Bidang Kesejahteraan Sosial Dan Ekonomi Di Kabupaten Jember

Abstract

Gender equality is a strategic issue in social and economic development that continues to receive attention, including in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the contribution of female regent leadership in Jember Regency to achieving gender equality in the areas of social and economic welfare. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicate that policies implemented by female regents have increased women's participation in the workforce, reduced poverty, and encouraged the sustainability of gender-based programs. The main challenges faced are gender stereotypes and limited resources. This study emphasizes the importance of female representation in leadership to create inclusive and sustainable policies.
