Abstract

The study addresses the pedagogical gap in teaching Qawa‗id Sharaf within Arabic education in Indonesia, where students often memorize tashrīf patterns mechanically without understanding their morphological structures. Previous studies have explored visual aids for Arabic morphology but rarely analyzed their classroom implementation or impact on conceptual understanding. This research aims to examine the implementation of a Morphology-Based Tashrif Table as a representational medium for verb inflection in Qawa‗id Sharaf learning. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving teachers and students of MTsN 1 Jember. The data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman‘s interactive model through reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the Tashrif Table transforms rote learning into analytical, visual, and meaningful morphological learning. Students demonstrate enhanced comprehension of verbal structures and the relationship between wazan (pattern) and mauzun (derived form). The study highlights three transformative aspects: reinterpretation of morphology, spatial dislocation of learning, and redistribution of teacher authority toward collaborative learning. In conclusion, the Morphology- Based Tashrif Table effectively bridges theoretical and practical knowledge of Arabic verb inflection, contributing to a more humanistic and reflective Arabic grammar pedagogy suitable for modern Islamic education.
