Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Google Sites Berbasis Padlet untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Konseptual pada Pembelajaran IPAS Kelas V MIMA Condro Jember

This study aims to develop a valid, practical, and effective Padlet-based Google Sites learning medium to enhance students’ conceptual understanding of the “Flora and Fauna Diversity in Indonesia” topic in the 5th-grade Integrated Natural Sciences (IPAS) curriculum at MIMA Condro Jember. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which comprises the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The research subjects consisted of 28 fifth-grade students, with a small-scale pilot test involving 10 students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, expert validation sheets, and conceptual understanding tests. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics, N-Gain calculations, and a paired-sample t-test. The results of the study indicate that the developed media achieved a validity level of 94.29% (classified as highly valid), a practicality level of 95.26% (classified as highly practical), and a significant improvement in conceptual understanding, as evidenced by an increase in the mean score from 58.46 to 86.18, an N -Gain value of 0.67, and a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that the integration of Google Sites and Padlet can create a visual, interactive, and collaborative learning environment that supports the development of deeper conceptual understanding. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of Google Sites and Padlet into a single digital learning ecosystem designed based on the characteristics of elementary school students and the visual-spatial nature of the learning materials. This study contributes to strengthening the implementation of multimedia learning theory and social constructivism and provides an alternative digital learning medium that can be applied to IPAS learning in elementary schools.
