Abstract

Science learning in elementary schools is still dominated by lecture methods and minimal interactive media, resulting in student inactivity and low social and critical thinking skills. This study aims to develop interactive learning media based on Articulate Storyline for fifthgrade science subjects at MIN 2 Lumajang and test its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The study used the R&D model with ADDIE stages and involved 28 students and subject teachers. Expert validation results showed an average score of 90% (very valid), practicality of the media obtained an average of 88% (very practical), and effectiveness was demonstrated by an increase in students' social skills from 68% to 88% with an N-Gain of 0.62 (moderate-high). Thus, Articulate Storyline media is suitable for use as an innovation in science learning because it can improve social skills, critical thinking, and active student engagement.
